Description

Die vielfigurige Kreuzigungsszene gilt als eigenhändige Arbeit Lukas Cranachs des Älteren. Die Bestimmung erfolgte durch Ludwig Baldass mit Gutachten vom 17. November 1949. Das Bild wurde 1979 restauriert. Bevor das Bild nach Heiligenkreuz kam, befand es sich im Zisterzienserstift Neukloster in Wiener Neustadt.
